IB Risk provides an opportunity to adopt a holistic approach to risk by allowing graduates to appreciate our culture and understand that risk management touches everything we do within the Investment Bank.
Visit our Business Areas section for more information about the two key areas where graduates are hired into: Credit Risk and Market Risk
What to expect
Upon joining the IB Risk graduate programme, the first thing we’ll do is fly you to New York for a 5 to 7 week training course with your peers who have joined other functions across Investment Banking and Sales, Trading & Research.

When you return to London, you’ll join your assigned team. Whichever group you’re in, you’ll become part of an organisation that is committed to your development. Understanding Credit Risk and Market Risk is important in every business of the firm and we actively promote mobility both within IB Risk and the wider firm. A role in IB Risk will provide a solid foundation for your longer-term career development, whether you remain in IB Risk or move to another part of the business.
Our graduates work on a variety of projects and gain responsibility very early on in their careers. Read more about the roles of an analyst within Credit Risk and Market Risk.
